The pressure is on for the shredettes this week at the Swatch TTR World Championships, with the title still very much up for grabs after Jamie Anderson's (USA) accident at the Burton Global Open Slopestyle this weekend that left her unable to complete the competition. It seemed like Anderson had the title in the bag, but this weekend at Mammoth resort, California, 1,000 points can be gained from a double helping of Half Pipe and another 1,0000 from the Slopestyle competition, which would allow the likes of US Open Slopestyle winner Kjersti Buass, Lisa Wiik or Kelly Clarke to close the gap and steal that coveted crown. Its time for the ladies to get their claws Swatch TTR season?s final battle. Registration has opened for the Grenade games in Whistler
There are only 100 places available by lottery to compete at the Grenade Games that are taking place during the TELUS World Ski and Snowboard Festival in Whistler from 20-29 April this year. You can put your name forward to register for the competition, which is sponsored by Grenade clothing and Monster Energy drinks at http://wssf.com/grenadegames/registration.html and keep your fingers crossed that you will be one of the lucky ones picked to ride poker run, dual slalom moguls, superpipe and ramp jam against a whole host of previously registered pro-riders. Even if you don't win a spot to compete, you should still make your way to the TELUS festival at Whistler as there is so much going on, the Grenade Games is just the tip of the iceberg....
