Monday is certainly not everyone's favourite day of the week, but Lindsey Vonn proved to the world today that it might well be hers... she was back with a vengeance in Val D'Isere, following her elimination from the super combined last week, after missing a gate. Following her Gold at the Super-G last Tuesday, Vonn now has another medal to add to her cabinet, smashing all competition in the downhill today. 17yr old Lara Gut of Switzerland netted her second silver of the competition, finishing just 0.52secs behind her American rival. The day belonged to Vonn though, who was understandably happy; 'I believed in myself and fought all the way down. It's been an amazing day.'
