A snowboarder was flown by helicopter to Bend hospital on Oregon after falling 50ft from a chairlift into a deep snow drift at Mount Bachelor resort. The man, who was his 40s, lost consciousness from the fall but was reported to be in a stable condition in hospital. Alex Kaufman, who is Marketing Director at the resort, told KTVZ-TV that the incident happened on Wednesday afternoon and said that although falling from lifts is not a regular occurrence, it does happen a few times a year in the United States.
