The pressure is on, the competition is agonisingly close and after ten months of gruelling competition, the Swatch TTR World tour comes to a head, culminating in the 27th annual Burton US Open, which is already building up steam in Stratton, Vermont. 1000 crucial points are up for grabs at tomorrow?s Half Pipe finals, which will act as the Title decider, the two main contenders at the moment being USA?s Shaun White and current leader, Finland?s Peetu Piiroinen. Piiroinen has been defending the top spot since the 6 star Billabong Air and Style Race in Innsbruck since January and White will need to pull out all the stops if he wants to get that Gold. The other ones to watch are world number 2 Chas Guldemond and Vermonter Kevin Pearce, who hopes to reap the benefits of competing on home turf.
