So where to ski this year???.....Wiski has reported that its snowing pretty heavy in Meribel.... the powder's better in Banff....Beaver Creek's had some record dumping.... and Ras al Khaimah's Jebel Jais region has just received 10cms. Yes, that's right, the United Arab Emirates may be the next rather unlikely candidate for your annual ski trip. The natural wonder was visited by non other than Prince Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi and according to local reports, 'it is a situation so rare that the local dialect doesn't even have a word for it.' Freak weather conditions were also reported on Mau Son Mountain in Vietnam this January, where a light dusting of snow was seen in the region for the first time, as temperatures dipped to -1C. So it's not quite time to start trying to blag your board bag along with your backpack past the 15kg Air Asia baggage limitation, but who knows what the next decade may bring.....
