Following the phenomenal success of the Nissan Russian Adventure in Sochi and the Nissan Tram Face in Squaw Valley, the third leg of the Freeride World Tour is underway in Tignes this week. It was a European victory on home turf at the Grande Balme for Xavier De La Rue, the first at the Freeride this year for the Frenchman, which set to reinforce his position at the top spot of the Freeride World Rankings. Second place was grabbed, flipped and fakied by Austria's Max Zipser. Switzerland's Alex Coudray came in 3rd place, but impressed the judges so much that he walked away with the Media Judges Award for his crowd pleasing tricknology. The women's competition was won by Coudray's fellow country woman, Geraldine Fasnacht. We are all eagerly anticipating the next leg of the Freeride Champs, which are going on to Verbier from 20-29th March.
