Burton In The Buff

Burton boards have recently come under fire from hoards of angry feminists in their hometown of Burlington, in the heart of provincial Vermont. The ladies have taken issue with Burton's new special edition boards that are cheekily adorned with naked retro Playboy playmates. The models have been strategically cut and pasted to avoid any truly offensive exposure and with the added coverage of bindings they're positively virginal, but certain folks are still taking offence to the tongue-in-cheek designs. As founder Jake Burton Carpenter said 'these graphics are made for young men, and young men do not want to ride a graphic that their parents are going to ride, but i'm sure that a few Dads would be quite happy to ride them too'. The boards will be sparking controversy in a store near you for the duration of the 09 season.
