Self-proclaimed as the world's longest moguls race, The Bump Bash freestyle festival will be clattering and bouncing its way into Zermatt for a whole week of bouncy festivities from 4th April. The event is open to both boarders and skiers, but also to telemarkers, sledgers and mountain bikers of any level. There are two courses, The Bump Bash Classic which is for those who are just after a bit of fun (and who are prepared to get down those bumps on anything, from snow bikes to inflatables) and the Bump Bash Extreme for the more serious mogul movers and shakers amongst us. The Extreme course involves over 100 skiers who all are videoed competing against eachother simultaneously down the undulating 500m course. An audience then decides who wins. According to the organisers, 'since its humble ski beginnings, the Bump Bash has evolved into the world's largest open bump completion where show, spirit and fun are the most important ingredients.' Impact shorts are highly recommended!
