The eighth edition of the World Ski Lift Ticket Price Report (2009) has proved that Brits are struggling to make ends meet at ski resorts abroad due to the demise of the pound, with lift ticket prices around the world are still sky rocketing. The study was conducted in 600 ski resorts around the world in 40 different countries. The annual study converts the price of six-day high season ticket to pounds sterling, US dollars and Euros for international comparison. The results are in, and Brits are officially being hammered financially in ski resorts all over the globe due to the plummeting pound. Andorra should be avoided for those on a budget as it was found to be the most expensive ski resort in Europe. The solution....we should cross our fingers for a repeat of this season?s good conditions in Scotland so we can convert our pounds to piste on home turf, which is much more pocket-friendly than Europe.
