A packed and rowdy Bergisel stadium saw some serious board-wizardry this weekend in Innsbruck, Austria. No less than 13,000 people watched open-mouthed as Colin Frei nailed the comp with a 6.5m McTwist Indy Grab in a memorable final against Finland's Peetu Piiroinen and France's Olivier Gittler. Piiroinen did manage to bag the Nokia Highest air award with a whopping 8.8m, just a whisker off Terje Haakonsen's 9.8 record. According to the Air and Style website, 'this 6 star contest on the World Snowboard Tour led to a dramatic change in the world rankings' with Piiroinen quite literally jumping into the lead, leaving the USA's Chas Guldemand in second. And the crowd went wild!....
