The Helly Hansen sponsored Big Mountain Ski Battle kicks off at Sun Peaks resort, British Columbia this weekend. It is a team based event that costs $75.00 to enter, (teams are of two) and all contestants will be tracked using the Flaik GPS tracking system. The event is geared towards intermediate to advanced snowboarders and skiers and involves contestants covering all specified checkpoints on the mountain. There are also prizes for Fastest Hike, Most Vertical, Most Runs and Most Lift Rides. The winning duo will win an all expenses trip to Snowmass Aspen on the 29th March to compete in the finals of Battle of the Bowls.
