Where nature leads to adventure. Your skis will gently brush the mountains UNESCO has described as the most beautiful in the world. With their majestic grandeur, Pelmo, Marmolada, Catinaccio, Tofana, the Latemar Group and the Pale di San Martino - to name just a few - will charm any traveller. These mountains offer a unique and unmistakable marvel of unusual summits, sheer cliffs and towers that rise 3,343 metres into the sky, adorned with mountain pastures on terraced slopes, and 1,200 km of ski slopes - mountains of pure natural wonder!

Principally formed of limestone, and therefore also known as 'pale mountains', the Dolomites are a backdrop for an extraordinary play of light. Atmospheric conditions and daylight give birth to incredibly beautiful sights, such as the 'Enrosadira'. This marvellous natural phenomenon can be seen in the evening when the pale summits take on a fiery red color that changes to dark purple. The fascinating displays of color combined with the strange shapes of these giants are central to the irresistible fascination of the Dolomites.

The geological formations of the Dolomites are of particular interest as well. These mountains were partially formed by a petrified coral reef, the dolomite, and bear the name of the French geologist who first studied them: Deodat de Dolomieu (1750 - 1801).

Although the Dolomites do not feature the highest mountains or numerous glaciers, thanks to their unique formations and the play of light, they are considered among the most beautiful mountains on Earth. The mountain climber Reinhold Messner said, 'The Dolomites are not the highest mountains, but they are simply the most beautiful'. And the renowned architect Le Corbusier enthusiastically agreed, 'They are the most beautiful architectural construction in the world'.
